Phillip J. Monin
Phillip Monin is a financial economist and mathematician at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. His research focuses on asset management, financial intermediation, financial stability, and quantitative finance, with particular attention to private funds such as hedge funds and private credit funds. His work has been published in leading finance and mathematics journals. In 2022, he received the Board’s Special Achievement Award. Dr. Monin also teaches in the graduate program in mathematics and statistics at Georgetown University. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and is both a CFA charterholder and a certified FRM.
